This wiki is the collaborative home for
MnSCU Webmasters, an Association of Web Professionals in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.
What's a wiki? A wiki is a collaborative web site, in which anyone can edit just about anything on a page.
CSSDiscussWiki:WikiGuide offers a nicely coherent introduction.
EditingTips can get you started quickly.
Why a wiki? It makes good sense for a community site. One of the very cool things about the
WirWiki is that
anyone can edit it. Feel like a page needs to be added? Add it! Notice a typo or want to add something to a page? Go right ahead! Just follow the "Edit this page" link near the bottom of the page.
If you're new to wikis, we'd like to have some documentation set up for you here but for the time being will just send you to
Tavi:FormattingRules instead.
CSSDiscussWiki:WikiGuide has some good pointers, too.
One thing to note:
entering HTML in the textareas will not work. Wikis have their own markup language. Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the
EditingTips, play around in the
SandBox, and be happy. And remember: with great power comes great responsibility.
If you have any questions about the
WirWiki, feel free to ask 'em on the
[listserv]. Contact
SamBuchanan about technical stuff.
